Bank of Ontario

History

1909

Genoa State Bank was organized by G.A. Keppler, Albert Zabolio and Charles Ott.

1911

Bank of Ontario was established in Ontario, WI.

1961

An addition was completed on the Genoa State Bank building. The old cages of the early 1900s were removed from the original building and the interior was modernized.

1983

Bank of Ontario was purchased by the current owners.

1985

Genoa State Bank and Bank of Ontario combined financial capabilities.

1994

Genoa State Bank officially became the first Branch of Bank of Ontario, operating as one financial institution for Vernon and surrounding counties.

2009

Genoa State Bank celebrated 100 years of service in the financial industry.

2011

Bank of Ontario celebrated their 100th anniversary.

2019

The goal of opening a third branch with a full array of financial service was put into motion with the purchase of the original Westby State Bank building.

2020

Restoration of the Westby State Bank was complete and the doors were officially open to the public in September of 2020.
