eStatements

We provide eStatments through the Bank of Ontario’s Online Banking system. They are secure online versions of your account statements that you can view, save, and print!

What types of accounts are eligible for eStatements?
All personal and business checking and savings accounts are eligible for eStatement service.

Is my eStatement secure?
Yes, your statement is stored behind firewalls and is transmitted to your internet browser using 128-bit encryption. In addition, our enhanced online banking customer authentication methods also protect you when you login to access your eStatement. As always, it is important that you maintain your personal computer with firewalls, the latest anti-virus and operating system updates and spyware protection.

How do I know when my eStatement is ready?
An email notification will be sent to you when your statement is ready for online viewing.

How do I view my statement?
All you need to do is log into Online Banking, select the applicable account, click on Online Statements, and choose the statement you wish to view. It's that easy.

Do I need a special program to view my eStatement?
You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view your eStatement. Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free program and may be downloaded from the Adobe website at www.adobe.com/downloads. (Please note that dial-up connections may be slow to download large PDF statement files.)

How do I sign up to receive eStatements?
When you log into Online Banking a screen will pop up asking if you would like to sign up for eStatements. Click 'Sign Up' and complete the quick and easy registration process.

Can I sign up for eStatements without being an Online Banking customer?
No, to receive eStatements you must also be enrolled in Online Banking. If you are not currently enrolled just stop in and we can get you set up.

Do I receive an eStatement every month?
You will receive an eStatement on or around the same time of the month as your current paper statement. Some savings account statements may be delivered semi-annually.

May I receive both a paper statement and an eStatement?
You will no longer receive a paper statement after you enroll for eStatements. You can just change your mind at any time and resume receiving paper statements, just give us a call.

How long will my eStatement be available for viewing?
eStatements dating back to April of 2007 are available to view and print.

May I have my eStatement notice of availability sent to more than one e-mail address?
Unfortunately, No. However, you can also have the notification sent to you via a text message. Simply click on eAlerts after you have logged into Online Banking and then click on Statement. eStatement alert settings can be adjusted on this page. Please note, you must have a mobile device that can accept text messages to utilize this feature.

Is it possible for my eStatement information to be exported to other programs?
No, eStatements can only be saved as PDF files.

How do I print out my eStatement?
From the Adobe Acrobat Reader toolbar, simply press the Printer icon.

How do I save my eStatement to my Personal Computer or disk?
Select the diskette (Save a Copy) icon on the Adobe Acrobat Reader toolbar. You will then be prompted for the location on your computer where you would like to save your statement.

eAlerts

Our Online Banking eAlert system will send you customized account alerts to you regarding balances, transactions, and various other account activities. Alerts are sent to you via email or a text message to your mobile device.
